Opening Expo UNKnowN Zaandam
The UNKnowN Art Gallery, located on the Oostkade near the lock, is excited to announce its fourth exhibition, titled "First Day of Spring," in honor of the approaching end of the winter season. This group exhibition brings together "an eclectic mix of national and international artists who embody the freshness, sunshine and vibrancy of spring in their works.
Participating artists are: Susan Meinen (b. 1984) - Westzan artist who creates captivating compositions with leftover paper forms or paintings on canvas. Her collages and paintings, inspired by nature, feature vibrant colors and organic forms. Cenk Düzyol (1981) - Based in Istanbul, explores the relationship between humans and technology. His works convey a sense of discomfort and dystopia, with glimpses of hope and optimism, expressed through an ironic and humorous language. Mike de Vos (1994) - Zaankanter and neighbor of UNKnowN, studies at the Willem de Kooning Academy specializing in Data Design. His hyperrealistic work shows new ways of storytelling, inspired by old letters and maps.
