Ravian Derriere
Ravian Derriere has earned his nickname of “de billenman” (the booty-man) for his highly stylized depictions of women’s bodies. Combining a bright color palette with the humorous nature of his paintings, Ravian puts a 21st century spin on pop art by focusing on imagery and themes that are distinct to the contemporary age.
Even though Ravian Derriere is primarily based in Amsterdam, a vigilant viewer can spot his work all throughout the Netherlands in the form of street art.
Just like his paintings, the influence of pop art is evident in Ravian’s graffiti as well. The subject matter of his work references interests of contemporary culture, such as cartoon characters like Homer Simpson, pieces of clothing distinct to the present day, depictions of women, or consumer goods such as champagne.
