Judith Aardse

Judith Aardse

Judith Aardse is a professionally trained artist whose expertise spans over a wide range of art forms and styles. Currently, she is working with charcoal and coloured pencils to create large, abstract pieces that captivate the viewer with their seamless flow.

Aardse’s work is powered by its contemplative elements.

The intricate lines weave around and through each other, creating abstract shapes. The careful choice of colours, the balance between negative and positive spaces, allows the shapes to take on a certain depth which animates the pieces. From a distance, one may think that they are looking at an artwork made up of yarn and small threads. Only upon closer inspection do we see that it is the result of meticulous work and balance of shading, which the artist claims provides a meditative element to her as the repetition of lines allows a flow of peace.
